About Us

Established in 1963, the CGRA’s core directive is as follows:

(a) To safeguard and promote the interest of residents, to preserve and improve the amenities of the parish and maintain its rural character; with due regard to the economical use of the parish budget to aim at general improvement of local services.

(b) By expression of the views of members, liaison with local and other government bodies and by other appropriate means to assist the just, efficient, and economical government of the area.

(c) To encourage the desire of residents to lend their character to Chiswell Green, to take pride in the locality and gain recognition as a clearly defined community with a lively interest in local affairs, and a wish for no less than a fair deal from local and national governments.

(d) To defend the green belt.

(e) To promote sustainability, reducing the impact of our community on the environment.
